Hyderabad - the largest and the best governed state in the subcontinent invaded from all sides against the wishes of its people. Wishes of the people were never ascertained. Here are the extracts from the famous Mir Laik Ali book on Hyderabad -Tragedy of Hyderabad. Mir Laik Ali was the Prime Minister who luckily left us a first hand honest account of what really happened then. It is in sharp contrast to the concocted and re-constructed history given to us by the Northern and Western India communal and racist elements including the government of India propaganda.

Hyderabad case before the United Nations – Tragedy of Hyderabad

Poor leadership headed by Nehru and Patel first divided a big great country into India and Pakistan and then went ahead with naked aggression be it Hyderabad, Kashmir or Junagadh. Only Nepal escaped and so did Srilanka. Things were not the same in Hyderabad. Hyderabad had no communal divide as was in other parts of the country. Hyderabad enjoyed a beautiful Hindu Muslim composite culture. There was never any local regardless of religion against the Nizam who was a just ruler. By chance he was Muslim, that did not make him a bad ruler. For Hindus he was very good. Hindus of the state were the worst losers after 1948.

Having blockaded by air, land and sea a land locked country for an year, India invaded Hyderabad from all sides against the wishes of its people and in contravention of all international norms of peaceful co-existence.
